Description

Pickleball was introduced to the 2024 Victoria Police & Emergency Services Games as a Demonstration Sport, and it was quite successful so has now become a regular fixture. We will hold a full day of pickleball with each skill level competing in either the morning or afternoon sessions.

0-2.9 Open
3.0+ Open

Note:
0-2.9 skill level is for beginners and social players.
3.0+ is for those who are regular players with a reasonable competence level.

 

 

Venue, Date & Time

Venue: Drysdale Clifton Springs Pickleball Club outdoor courts (Situated at the Clifton Springs Bowling Club, 39 Spring St, Clifton Springs, 3222)

Date: Monday 6th October 2025

Time/s: 0830-1230 hours or 1230-1700. Competitors are asked to check-in at 0800 or 1200hrs respectively. 

Reserve day – Due to inclement weather we have included Tuesday the 7th October as a reserve day and will give all registered participants 3 days’ notice if there is going to be a change.

Facilities

There are 8 outdoor Pickleball courts available. The facilities of the Clifton Spring Bowls Club will be available for competitors and friends and includes dining and bar facilities.

Special Instructions

Competitors are expected to have their own paddle(bat) however a limited number of paddles will be available for beginners.

Note

You simply enter the sport and respective skill level as an individual. Play will be conducted in round robin doubles format. Every game you play you will be matched with a different partner. Games will be played 1st to 15th. At the conclusion of every game your individual point score will be recorded and you will accumulate points throughout the tournament. At the end of play the individuals within each skill level who have amassed the highest number of points will be awarded gold, silver, bronze medals respectively.

Play will be conducted in line with the Pickleball Australia rules.

 

There will be 32 spots in both the AM and PM sessions and registrations will close once we reach that number or on 29 September. If we do not get the numbers required, we reserve the right to alter the playing format for the day.
