Description

Two events on offer this year, 5km (1 Lap) and 10km (2 Laps) road race.  Event to be held at the Tan track, starting at King George V Monument, Linlithgow Ave, Melbourne 3004.

Competitors have the option to enter either the 5km Road Race event ($25 registration), or the 10km Road Race event ($25 registration), or both events ($50 registration).

Please note a Half Marathon will be conducted along with the 5km & 10km road race however you cannot enter all three events, start times will vary.

Venue, Date & Time

The 5km, 10km road race events will be held on Sunday 15 November 2026 at the Tan track.

Start and finish line adjacent to Lawn 7 (Kings Domain), King George V Monument, Linlithgow Ave (See map below for running route). 

More specific course instructions to be advised in due course on for both events.

The half marathon event will start at 0800hrs, followed by the 5km and 10km starting at 0830hrs. All competitors are requested to be at the start line by 0730hrs for a briefing and pre-race preparations/registrations.

5km Details
Runners will take a left onto the tan track proceeding clockwise for approximately 500mtrs before a U-turn and returning past the start/finish line in a anticlockwise direction. Runners will turn left up Government House Drive then returning down to the track again continuing a anticlockwise direction on the track until you return back to the finish line at the Kings Domain.

Runners will not be required to run up Anderson Hill as part of the route. 

10km Details
Runners doing the 10km will run out approx. 860mtrs clockwise, do a U-turn and then follow the exact same course as the 5km however for the 10km you do two laps of the track.

Facilities

Public toilet facilities available along the course.

Special Instructions

There will be drink stations available at the start/finish line, and at other spots along the course. There are also public drinks fountains along the route. 
Runners may bring their own drink bottles and have them at the start/finish line where they can be accessed during the run. Sharing of drink bottles is not permitted.
